Lead DevOps Engineer and Systems Administrator on the Science Analytics and Synthesis team at the United States Geological Survey. I work closely with software development teams to provide a platform and to deploy and support applications and supporting services, available to the scientific community and public. I advise on technical decisions and architecture; design, implement and support continuous delivery pipelines; maintain configuration management codebases and software; maintain Infrastructure As Code; implement and support Amazon Web Services; and perform everyday Linux systems administration tasks.

I help plan long-term IT strategy and the details of execution; technology adoption; and help oversee the deployment, integration, and ongoing management of projects across several teams throughout the USGS.
